Why should I enroll my child in Kindermusik classes? - No other early childhood program offers so much for you and your child. These classes have been carefully created by early childhood experts. Research shows that early exposure to music and movement activities such as those you will find in a Kindermusik classroom is very beneficial to the young child's total development. Besides fun musical activities, you will find activities focused on fostering your child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Kindermusik is SO much more than just music! Your child is learning even when you might not be aware of it, and that is why parent education is also a big part of Kindermusik classes. You as a parent are your child's best teacher, and Kindermusik classes give you the tools you need to make learning, of all kinds, fun for your child. Home Materials are also a part of each and every Kindermusik curricula so that the Kindermusik experience can be brought home and made a part of your daily routine.
Why do we need the Home Materials, isn't the classroom experience enough? - Children learn best when they are in an environment where they are comfortable. Kindermusik recognizes this fact and has created high-quality books, CDs, instruments, and other materials for each child who enrolls in classes. These materials are intended to enhance the total Kindermusik experience for your family. Again, Home Materials are required for each child enrolled. If you have more than one child enrolled in the same class at the same time, sibling kits are available.
Do I have to attend classes with my child? - Yes, and that is part of what makes Kindermusik what it is. YOU are your child's best teacher, and you know your child better than anyone else. Small children are also most comfortable and able to learn when they know a loved caregiver is present. Parent education is a big part of every class through Kindermusik's Foundations of Learning Statements (FOLs).
I have more than one child, is there some sort of discount for siblings? Yes! If you have two children in the same age group, they can both attend the same Kindermusik PLAYDATE class (the one-day class) for just $19.95! Also, the price listed for the Sign & Sing class is per family. The Family Time class has only 1 set of home materials for the whole family, and you pay a very low tuition price per child. The other classes (Adventure Camps, Village, and Our Time) also have sibling discounts available. Please call for more information sibling discounts for these classes.
Do I have to pay the full cost up front? No. A deposit is required so that your child will be guaranteed to receive their home materials at the first class, but after that the balance may be paid in payments. Give me a call and we can discuss your payment options.
