Since her earliest childhood, Samantha Tomlin's life and love has been music. Some of her earliest and fondest childhood memories are of hearing her family members singing as they went about their daily work. By the time she was 8 years old, Samantha was singing regularly in church both alone and with her father.
At the age of 12, Samantha began to play the piano in church, and she later taught herself to play acoustic and bass guitar as well. As a Christian vocalist, songwriter, and instrumentalist, Samantha has shared her music with thousands of people over the years in-person as well as through radio, television, and studio recordings. She has traveled with the Southern/Bluegrass Gospel group Still Voice since 2002 as the group's bass guitarist, lead/harmony vocalist, and recording engineer.
Since 2006, Samantha has successfully taught private piano, guitar, and bass lessons to both children and adults. She has established herself as a capable teacher and has been proud to see many of her students become regular church musicians. She began "Kindermusik by Samantha" in 2009, as a way to share her passion for music with even the smallest of learners.
As a licensed Kindermusik educator, Samantha has the training and expertise necessary to provide fun, high-quality musical experiences to young children in a way that will impact all areas of their development. As a mother, Samantha understands parents' need to be actively involved in their child's education and development, and her Kindermusik classes reflect the philosophy that a child's parents are his/her best teachers.
